Ocean & Ecosystems
Marina Bahía Golfito operates within one of the world's few tropical fjords. Our environmental work focuses on restoring and monitoring the ecosystems of Golfo Dulce and its surrounding forests, together with scientific, institutional and community partners.
Coral Restoration: Active coral restoration in Golfo Dulce in partnership with Raising Coral | Mangrove Restoration: Restoration and monitoring of mangrove ecosystems with Misión Tiburón, generating employment for neighboring communities | Marine Species Monitoring: Participation in research and monitoring of hammerhead sharks, rays, cetaceans and sea turtles with Misión Tiburón and Pulso Azul | Water Bioremendiation - Pilot Program: Pilot program for the bioremediation of water bodies within the marina, developed with the Costa Rica Institute of Technology (TEC) and AyA.
Terrestrial Ecosystems
Native Reforestation: Reforestation with native species and pollinator gardens, in partnership woth Osa Conservación and the Golfito Aqueduct Association | Wildlife Conservation: Support for the preservation of jaguar, tapir, deer, white-lipped peccary and other species through joint work with Yaguara Rescue Center, guided visits for our guests, and fundraising initiatives

Circular Operations
Waste & Water Management
Waste management programs and wastewater treatment infrastructure designed to protect the waters of the Gulf, operated under the considerations of the MARPOL Convention and Costa Rican environmental legislation, with a goal of zero waste to landfill.
Responsible Sourcing
Progressive incorporation of local suppliers and organically grown produce into our food and beverage operation, in partnership with our ally Blue Atlas, strenghening the regional economy while reducing our footprint.
Together, these organizations form a local institutional network working for the sustainable coexistence of Golfo Dulce — its ecosystems, its communities and its economy.
